My Pasta Recipes.

Baked Macaroni and Prawns.
Give an old favorite like macaroni an inspirational twist by adding prawns.
 
You need:

1 sachet Knorr Macaroni & Cheese – Cheese & Bacon flavor  
310 ml water  
15 ml olive oil  
175 g mushrooms, thinly sliced  
50 g Parmesan cheese, freshly grated  
125 ml milk  
30 ml margarine  
4 leeks, sliced and cut into pieces  
175 g prawns, peeled  
Salt and pepper to season  
 
Prepare:
  
Mix the contents of the Knorr Macaroni & Cheese sauce sachet, the pasta, milk, water and margarine  
together and bring to the boil  
Simmer for 8–10 min stirring occasionally until cooked  
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the leeks, mushrooms and prawns  
Mix the pasta with the leeks, mushrooms and prawns  
Place in an ovenproof dish  
Sprinkle the Parmesan cheese over the top  
Bake at 180°C for 25 min or until golden brown  
Serves 4

Cooking Time: 35 mins  
 

Cheese, Smoked Ham, Spring Onion and Mushroom Pasta. 

You need:

1 x 130 g packet Knorr Cheese, Smoked Ham & Mushroom Pasta & Sauce  
4 spring onions, chopped  
375 ml water  
150 g smoked ham, chopped  
30 ml margarine  
125 ml milk  
 




Prepare:
 
Place the milk, water and margarine in a saucepan and bring to the boil  
Add the contents of the packet and cook over high heat for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally  
Stir in the chopped ham  
Simmer for a further 5 minutes and add the spring onions  
Remove from the heat, cover and stand for 2 minutes  
Serves 2
Preparation Time: 2 mins
Cooking Time: 10 mins  

 
Cheesy Chicken, Bacon and Spring Onion Pasta.  

You need:

1 x 254 g box Knorr Mince Mate Three Cheeses  
300 g chicken, cubed  
800 ml hot water  
1 bunch spring onions  
200 g bacon, diced  
15 ml oil  
 



Prepare:

In a large frying pan, fry the chicken and bacon in oil  
Add the sachet of seasoning mix, 800 ml hot water, and the uncooked pasta and bring to the boil  
Reduce heat and simmer for 15‐20 min, stirring occasionally  
Stir in the chopped spring onions  
Serves 4
Preparation Time: 10 mins
Cooking Time: 20 mins  
    

Chicken, Butternut and Feta Lasagna.
 
You need:

1 box Knorr Chicken Lasagna Mate  
250 ml feta cheese  
400 g butternut  
500 g chicken breasts, sliced  
1 onion, chopped  
15 ml oil  
 









Prepare: 
 
Empty the contents of the cheese sauce sachet into a jug, fill to 400 ml with boiling water and stir for 1 min
Cube the butternut and microwave in a little water on high for 7 min  
In a large pan, brown the onion and chicken breasts in oil  
Add the sachet of seasoning mix, 600 ml hot water, butternut and pasta to the chicken  
Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally  
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 min  
Pour into a 2‐liter oven dish  
Pour cheese sauce over and sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese  
Grill for 10 min or bake for 20 min at 180°C  
Serves 4

Chicken, Corn and Pepper Lasagna.

1 box Knorr Chicken Lasagna Mate  
250 ml Cheddar cheese  
200 g corn kernels  
15 ml oil  
500 g chicken breasts, sliced  
1 red pepper, sliced  
1 onion, chopped  
 




Prepare:
  
Empty the contents of the cheese sauce sachet into a jug, fill to 400 ml with boiling water and stir for 1 min
In a large pan, brown the onion, sliced chicken breasts and red pepper in oil  
Add the sachet of seasoning mix, 600 ml hot water and the pasta to the chicken  
Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally  
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 min  
Pour into a 2‐liter oven dish, pour cheese sauce over and sprinkle with grated cheese  
Grill for 10 min or bake for 20 min at 180°C  
Serves 4

Chicken, Mushroom and Spinach Pasta.

You need:

1 box Knorr Chicken Mate Mushroom  
400 g chicken, sliced  
200 ml cold milk  
15 ml oil  
250 g mushrooms sliced  
250 g frozen spinach  
600 ml hot water  
 





Prepare:
  
In a large saucepan, brown the chicken and mushrooms in oil  
Add the sachet of seasoning spice blend, 600 ml hot water and 200 ml cold milk  
Add the uncooked pasta and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally  
Reduce heat and simmer for 5 min, add the defrosted spinach and simmer for another 5 min until the pasta is
cooked  
Serves 4

Cooking Time: 15 mins  
 

Chicken, Piquant Peppers and Feta pasta.  
Traditional South African sweet piquant peppers are combined with feta to make this pasta a tasty delight.  

You need:

1 box Knorr Chicken Mate Mushroom  
125 ml piquant peppers  
600 ml hot water  
250 ml milk  
400 g chicken breasts, sliced  
250 ml feta cheese  
1 onion, chopped  
15 ml oil  
 


Prepare:

In a large saucepan, brown the onion and chicken in oil  
Add the sachet of seasoning spice blend, 600 ml hot water and 200 ml cold milk  
Add the uncooked pasta and chopped piquant pepper and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally  
Reduce heat and simmer for 10‐12 min or until the pasta is cooked  
Stir in the crumbled feta cheese and serve.
Serves 4.

Cooking Time: 12 mins  


Creamy Beef, Mushroom, Basil and Red Wine Pasta
A must‐have meal for a romantic dinner, this beefy pasta is sure to warm the heart  

You need:

1 x 123 g packet Knorr Mushroom & Wine Pasta & Sauce  
125 g mushrooms, halved  
30 ml margarine
125 ml milk  
10 ml fresh basil, chopped  
200 g beef strips  
375 ml water  
10 ml oil  
 

Prepare: 
 
Fry beef strips and mushrooms in oil for 5 min  
Add the milk, water and margarine in a saucepan and bring to the boil  
Add the contents of the packet and cook on high for 8 min, stirring occasionally  
Stir in the basil  
Remove from the heat, cover and stand for 2 min and serve.  
Serves 2

Creamy Cheese Noodles with JalapeƱos and Nachos.  
  
You need:

1 x 325 g box Knorr Mince Mate Creamy Cheese  
250 ml grated Cheddar  
800 ml hot water  
15 ml oil  
75 ml jalapeno peppers, chopped  
400 ml nacho chips  
400 g mince  
 


Prepare:
  
In a large saucepan, brown mince in oil  
Add the sachet of seasoning mix, 800 ml hot water, jalapenos and the uncooked pasta and bring to the boil  
Reduce heat and simmer for 15‐20 minutes, stirring occasionally  
Transfer to a baking dish  
Empty the contents and the cheese sauce sachet into a measuring jug  
Fill to 500 ml with rapidly boiling water and stir with a fork for 1 min  
Pour over the mince, top with crushed nachos, sprinkle with grated cheese and grill for 4 min  
Serves 4

Creamy Chicken and Bacon Pasta.  
Fried chicken and bacon make this quick pasta meal a firm favorite with children.

1 box Knorr Chicken Mate Creamy Mushroom  
200 g bacon, sliced  
600 ml hot water  
15 ml oil  
400 g chicken breast, sliced  
1 onion, chopped  
250 ml milk  
 



Prepare:
 
In a large saucepan, brown the onion, chicken and bacon in oil  
Add the sachet of seasoning spice blend, 600 ml hot water and 200 ml cold milk  
Add the uncooked pasta, bring to the boil, stirring occasionally  
Reduce heat and simmer for 10‐12 min or until the pasta is cooked.   
Serves 4

Creamy Chili Prawn Pasta.  
If you are looking for a menu item when entertaining then try these indulgent prawns with ginger, garlic, chilies
and dill.  
  
You need:

1 sachet Knorr Beef Stroganoff Cook‐in‐Sauce  
3 ml crushed chilies  
250 g pasta, cooked  
1 tomato, chopped  
200 g prawns  
15 ml oil  
2 cloves garlic, crushed  
Fresh dill to garnish  
3 ml crushed ginger  
Zest of 1 lemon  
500 ml milk  
 
Prepare:
  
In a frying pan, heat oil and add crushed chillies, garlic and ginger and fry for a couple of seconds  
Add prawns and stir fry for a minute  
Add tomato and lemon zest and stir through  
Mix sachet contents with 500 ml milk and add to the prawns  
Simmer until the sauce has thickened  
Toss together with cooked pasta and garnish with fresh dill.
Serves 4

Creamy Prawn, Garlic & Lime Pasta.  

You need:

1 box Knorr Tuna Mate ‐ Lots of Garlic & Herbs  
1 clove garlic, crushed  
The zest of 1 lime  
800 ml hot water  
15 ml oil  
200 g prawns, shelled and de-veined  
1 red onion, chopped  
250 ml cold milk  
Black pepper  
 
Prepare:
  
Heat oil in a large, non‐stick saucepan  
Add onions and garlic and saute until soft  
Stir in sachet of seasoning spice blend, milk and water and mix together well  
Add prawns, lime zest and the uncooked pasta and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally  
Reduce the heat and allow to simmer uncovered for 15–20 min until the pasta is cooked  
Season with black pepper, serve and enjoy.

Creamy Three Cheese Noodles.
A cheese lover’s dream dish, this noodle meal combines the tasty flavours of Cheddar, Feta and Gorgonzola.  
  
You need:

1 x 325 g Knorr Mince Mate Creamy Cheese  
50 g crumbled feta cheese  
800 ml hot water  
15 ml oil  
50 g grated Cheddar cheese  
50 g Gorgonzola cheese  
400 g mince  
 


Prepare:

In a large saucepan, brown 400 g mince in the oil  
Add the sachet of seasoning mix, 800 ml hot water and the uncooked pasta and bring to the boil  
Reduce heat and simmer for 15‐20 min, stirring occasionally  
Empty the contents of the cheese sauce sachet into a measuring jug  
Fill to 500 ml with rapidly boiling water and stir with a fork for 1 min  
Stir in the 3 cheeses and pour over the mince mix.   
Serves 2

Creamy Tuna, Corn and Tomato Pasta.  
A quick mix of tuna, corn and cherry tomatoes makes this pasta dish a special treat.

1 box Knorr Tuna Mate Cheddar melt  
250 g frozen corn  
250 ml milk  
200 g cherry tomatoes  
800 ml hot water  
2 tins tuna  
 


Prepare:
  
Combine the sachet of seasoning spice blend with 250 ml cold milk and 800 ml hot water in a large pan  
Add the tuna, corn kernels and pasta, and bring to the boil, stirring occasionally  
Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 min  
Stir in the cherry tomatoes and simmer for a further 10 min, stirring occasionally.   
Serves 4

Cooking Time: 20 mins  
 

Curried Chicken and Pasta Bake.  
  
You need:

125 ml milk  
30 ml margarine  
250 ml sour cream  
2 smoked chicken breasts  
125 ml fresh breadcrumbs  
310 ml water  
1 box Knorr Macaroni & Cheese – Cheese & Chicken flavor  
10 ml curry powder  
150 g broccoli, broken into small florets  
125 ml Cheddar cheese, grated  
 
Prepare:
  
Mix the milk, water, margarine and the contents of the Knorr Macaroni & Cheese sauce sachet and pasta and bring to the boil in a saucepan, then simmer for 8–10 min  
Combine the sour cream and curry powder and season with salt and pepper  
Cut the chicken into thin slivers and mix with the broccoli and cream mixture and macaroni and cheese  
Spoon into four ramekin dishes, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and cheese and bake for 10–15 min or until the
cheese melts.   
Serves 4

Decadent Lasagna with Bacon and Parmesan.  

You need:

150 ml Parmesan cheese, grated  
200 g bacon, sliced  
400 g lean mince  
1 box Knorr Lasagne Mate Mince  
1 onion, chopped  
15 ml oil  
 


Prepare:

Empty the contents of the cheese sauce sachet into a jug, fill to 400 ml with boiling water and stir for 1 min
In a large pan, fry the onion and bacon in oil  
Add the mince and brown  
Add the sachet of seasoning mix, 600 ml hot water, and the pasta to the mince  
Bring to the boil, stirring occasionally  
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 min  
Pour into a 2‐liter oven dish, pour cheese sauce over and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese  
Grill for 10 min or bake for 20 min at 180°C  
Serves 4
